Q

As a General Counsel attorney what is your biggest focus?

A

HOA governing document amendments and restatements.

Q

What strengths does your experience add to the firm?

A

My time as a litigator, representing clients in cases involving property title disputes, escrow problems, and other real estate and business issues, has imparted on me a sensitivity to how an issue will likely play out in a courtroom setting.  This experience guides the advice I provide clients on homeowner association governance, title/property rights and restrictions, and governing documents.

Q

What drew you to this line of work?

A

The people – the volunteer board members, the owners, and the community property managers we interact with on a daily basis.  I also enjoy the variety of topics that I have the opportunity to work on daily.

Q

What brings you the most satisfaction on the job?

A

Helping owners, through their owner associations, protect and enhance their homes and their investments. That goal infuses my work on the advice I provide and the governing document provisions I draft.

Q

What do you enjoy most about working at Berding | Weil?

A

I love our support team.  We have incredibly skilled and experienced legal assistants, paralegals (aka case analysts), and administrative professionals who understand the importance of, and care deeply about, our work and our clients.

Q

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

A

Spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.
