Trinette Sachrison is part of Berding|Weil's appellate practice group, specializing in civil appeals, writ petitions, amicus curiae briefs and appellate mediation. Trinette also has extensive experience in litigation, including pre and post trial dispositive motions, having successfully represented clients in both state and federal court matters up through and including arbitration and trial.
Trinette's practice has focused primarily on civil litigation, specializing in construction defect litigation, insurance bad faith, and corporate and contractual disputes. For the past several years, Trinette has placed an emphasis on handling state and federal appeals. Trinette's appellate work has resulted in several successful published and unpublished opinions. The more notable published opinions include Shirk v. United States (9th Cir. 2014) 773 F.3d 999, Lano v. Carnival Corporation (2015) 621 Fed. Appx. 373, Hensel Phelps Construction Co. v. Superior Court (2020) 44 Cal.App.5th 595, and Smart Corner Owners Association v. CJUF Smart Corner, LLC, et al. (2021) 64 Cal.App.5th 439.
Prior to joining Berding|Weil, Trinette was a senior attorney with Epsten APC in both the appellate and construction defect departments, navigating multi-million dollar claims from inception and investigation to settlement. Prior to Epsten, she was a senior attorney with Kaye Rose & Partners, where she defended major international and domestic cruise line clients in matters arising on the high seas and in international and state territorial waters. She was also responsible for instituting a nationwide transformation of the consumer arbitration procedures in cruise line passage contracts for United States citizens.
Trinette graduated magna cum laude from University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She graduated cum laude from California Western School of Law, where she served on the executive council of the Advocacy Honors Board and as staff editor of the California Western Law Review. After graduation, Trinette served as a Judicial Extern to Justice Don R. Work in the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division One.
