William McKeon is a partner with Berding|Weil and has represented clients on all Hawai'ian islands for more than 39 years in construction defect disputes and complex commercial, real estate and business litigation cases.
Bill's long established practice in Hawai'i gives him a unique perspective on resolving disputes effectively and efficiently. His experience in courtrooms and boardrooms makes him highly sought after by clients needing strong and creative advocacy in complex construction, real estate and business matters.
Mr. McKeon has tried and arbitrated many cases in Hawai'i to verdict, and settled many others, recovering over $200 million for his clients. Recent recoveries include a settlement resulting in $155 million in repairs to a luxury Honolulu high-rise residential condominium and recovery of $29.5 million for a large Oahu condominium association with over 500 single family and multi-family units. Mr. McKeon also obtained the largest arbitral award at the time ($4.0 million) for construction defects in a luxury oceanfront home, obtained a $5.2 million arbitral award in connection with the sale of a mid-rise commercial building on Oahu, and multiple million dollar settlements for community association clients.
Over the years Bill has handled numerous commercial and residential real estate sales and business transactions, and recently closed several multi-million dollar transactions involving the sale of luxury residential and commercial properties on Maui.
Mr. McKeon received his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and has a B.S. in Biology and a minor in English from Loyola Marymount University.
