Berding|Weil is seeking a 5–10 year transactional attorney for our corporate real estate practice to work in our Walnut Creek office. We believe in building our attorneys and helping them grow their practice from day one. The right candidate will work directly with clients, have a Partner who helps mentor and develop them, and will be given the platform to build a book of business in our dynamic and growing firm.

Our ideal candidate will be coachable, easy going, a great team player, have a quick wit and good people skills. We are also looking for a candidate to have exceptional writing and analytic skills, be organized, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, and be able to keep a level head under pressure. Prior experience representing common interest developments is a plus, but not required.

$135k+ (based on relevant experience)

Qualifications/Experience:

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent legal research and analytic skills.
  • Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • California Bar membership in good standing.
  • Trial experience is a plus but not essential.
  • Relevant litigation experience.
  • Mediation and dispute resolution.
  • Prior experience with community association law is a plus.
  • Preparing pleadings, motions, written and expert discovery.
  • Settlement agreements.
  • Taking and defending depositions and written discovery.

Schedule:

Position is full-time, exempt. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

We currently offer a hybrid office/remote schedule.
