Berding & Weil LLP welcomes experienced real estate attorney, Dena M. Cruz as partner in their Walnut Creek office.
Ms. Cruz joins the firm's expanding Business and Real Estate practice group. She has more than thirty years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, financing, property and transfer taxation and related litigation and appeals. Her experience includes the representation of bio-mass plants, brownfield developers, finance companies, developers, governing authorities, hotel groups, retail merchants, and landlords and tenants in connection with acquisitions, development, dispositions, ground and space leases, financing and taxation of commercial properties.
She is a nationally recognized expert in title and escrow claims, serving as a testifying expert for title insurance underwriters, agents and their insureds in title and escrow disputes and is a noted speaker and writer in her areas of practice and expertise. Ms. Cruz has been selected to the Northern California Super Lawyer list each year since 2012, including the recently announced 2017 list. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
